I am a professional artist living and working in sunny Portugal. I work mostly in oils and sometimes in gouache. I enjoy painting a variety of subjects including landscape, still life and figure, both in the studio and outdoor on location. I am inspired by the natural world – by the interpretation of it’s beauty and moods with color and light. I try to simplify the complexities of a scene to create my impressions of nature and the man made world, working to interpret reality rather than to re-create it.
